How to read this wireframe. The page is shown top to bottom as we propose it. Coloured badges show whether each section is kept, changed or new. Amber items need information or sign-off from Curam before they go live. The small H1, H2 and H3 labels show the heading level your developer should use. The notes on the right explain what changed, why, and whether content has moved; you can hide them with "Show SEO notes". The "Action list" tab sets out exactly what to do, the "What's changed" tab covers everything section by section with a checklist for your developer, and the "Schema" tab covers structured data.

Changed: meta title and description

What changed: Curam added to the title, which is shortened to make room. The description is rewritten to include Curam and lead with vetted, DBS-checked carers.

Why: The old title had no brand name. "Same-day" stays because the "How fast can a carer arrive?" section supports it. Adding Curam to the description helps people recognise the brand in search results.

Position: Not on the page. This is what shows in Google results.

H1Emergency Home Care in the UK

pCuram helps you arrange emergency home care across the UK, connecting you with vetted, self-employed carers available at short notice. Whether you need urgent support after an illness or fall, emergency respite, or help with a same-day hospital discharge, you can find, message and book a carer quickly.

"Call us now" should be a tap-to-call link, visible without scrolling on mobile.
Hero photo Changed
A general photo of a carer with a client at home, with no carer name attached. Replaces the "Mary N, 12 years of experience" image.
Curam to supply, ideally a real Curam photo
WebP, preloaded, not lazy-loaded, fixed width/height.
Alt: describe the scene, e.g. "Carer helping an older man settle at home after a hospital stay"
Changed: intro, hero photo and call button

What changed: The H1 is kept. The intro is rewritten. The "Mary N, 12 years of experience" image is replaced with a general photo of a carer with a client. "Call us now" is added next to "Find a carer" in the hero.

Why: The old intro opened with "If you need help urgently" and did not use the main term. The new one puts "emergency home care" and Curam in the first sentence and keeps the three use cases. A single named carer with no review or date proves little and can look like a placeholder; real carer reviews now sit in their own block below. People searching for emergency care often want to ring straight away, so the call button belongs at the top.

Position: Same place, at the top.

H2How fast can a carer arrive?

Changed

Emergency home care is designed for situations where support can't wait. With Curam, many carers are available the same day, and in urgent situations, some can arrive within a few hours depending on your location and the type of help required.

Once you post your requirement or contact carers directly, you'll immediately see who is available for today, tonight, or the next morning. You can message carers instantly, discuss what's happened and agree duties and rates without delay. This makes it possible to arrange short-notice respite, post-hospital support, or urgent personal care much faster than traditional services.

For families dealing with a sudden change, knowing help can arrive quickly brings real peace of mind. Whether it's a crisis at home, an unexpected discharge or a family carer falling ill, fast access to a trusted professional can make all the difference.

Changed: "How fast can a carer arrive?"

What changed: Moved up to sit straight after the hero. The heading, copy and buttons are unchanged.

Why: Speed is the first thing someone in a crisis needs to know. On the live page this answer was the fourth section down, below the definition and the list of situations. Placing it first, followed by real carer reviews, answers the urgent question and then backs it up with evidence.

Position: Moved up, from after "How an emergency carer can help" to straight after the hero.

New: recommended carers

What changed: A block of four carer cards using Curam's existing component (as on the elderly care and post-operative care pages): photo, years of experience, a dated review excerpt and the care types offered.

Why: Dated, real reviews show families that carers on Curam are active and well regarded right now. Placed straight after "How fast can a carer arrive?", they back up the same-day claim with evidence. This replaces the single "Mary N" image.

Position: New, straight after "How fast can a carer arrive?".

H2What is emergency home care?

Changed

Emergency home care provides fast, short-notice support when someone needs help urgently and can't wait for a planned care arrangement. It's designed for situations like a sudden illness, a family carer becoming unavailable, an unexpected hospital discharge, or a change in someone's mobility, memory or safety at home.

Instead of waiting days for traditional care services, emergency home care connects you with a professional carer who can step in the same day or within hours. They can help with personal care, medication prompts, meals, supervision, reassurance and wellbeing checks: whatever is needed to keep someone safe and supported at home during a crisis.

For many families, emergency home care is a lifeline. It bridges the gap until longer-term support is arranged, provides relief during unexpected situations and ensures that a loved one can remain at home with the right help at the right time.

Changed: "What is emergency home care?"

What changed: Heading changed from title case ("What is Emergency Home Care?") to sentence case, to match the rest of the page. Live copy kept, with one em dash replaced by a colon.

Why: Consistent heading style. The copy already gives a clear definition that Google and AI search can quote.

Position: Moves down two places, below "How fast can a carer arrive?" and the carer cards.

H2When is emergency care needed?

Changed

Emergency home care is often required when something changes suddenly and there isn't time to arrange planned support. These moments can be stressful for families, especially if you're trying to keep a loved one safe, well and comfortable at home. Emergency care helps bridge that gap by providing fast, professional support exactly when it's needed.

H3A family carer becomes unwell or unavailable

If the main caregiver is suddenly unable to provide support (due to illness, work commitments or a personal emergency), a carer can step in quickly to keep things stable at home.

H3Someone experiences a sudden illness or decline

A fall, infection, confusion, mobility change or worsening dementia symptoms can create an urgent need for help, supervision and wellbeing checks.

H3You require rapid hospital discharge support

Hospitals often discharge patients with little notice. Emergency home care ensures someone is at home to help with personal care, settling in, medication reminders and early recovery.

H3There's a night-time or weekend crisis

An unexpected issue outside usual care hours, for example wandering, distress, disorientation or anxiety, may require same-day or overnight support.

H3Short-notice respite is needed

Families sometimes need an immediate break to rest, attend an appointment or manage other responsibilities. Emergency respite care offers fast cover at home.

H3Dementia behaviours suddenly change

Agitation, wandering, sundowning or moments of confusion may require immediate one-to-one supervision to keep someone safe.

Changed: "When is emergency care needed?"

What changed: Live headings and copy kept. Two typos fixed (a missing space after "home." and a double full stop after "overnight support"), and one em dash replaced with brackets.

Why: Small errors undermine trust on a page families read in a stressful moment. The section itself works well and matches how people describe their situation.

Position: Moves down two places, below the speed section and the carer cards.

H2How an emergency carer can help

Changed

Curam's rapid-response carers can be with you within hours to stabilise situations at home. From post-hospital care to sudden changes in dementia behaviours, carers provide the right mix of personal care, clinical oversight and companionship so families can breathe again.

One-to-one support is available nationwide, day or night, with vetted professionals who understand crisis planning, safeguarding and the reassurance families need.

Image
Existing image: Curam carer providing emergency support.

H3Personal care stabilisation

Urgent help with washing, continence, mobility support and safe transfers after a fall or illness.

H3Medication and symptom management

Ensuring time-critical prescriptions, antibiotics or pain relief are taken correctly and side effects are monitored.

H3Nutrition & hydration care

Preparing nourishing meals, encouraging fluids and spotting early warning signs of dehydration or weakness.

H3Safety, wellbeing & night checks

Regular visits or overnight stays to watch for confusion, wandering or medical changes that need escalation.

H3Companionship & emotional support

Grounding conversations, calm reassurance and family updates during bereavement or unexpected disruption.

H3Dementia & complex behaviour support

Specialist supervision for sundowning, heightened anxiety or distress, keeping everyone safe at home.

6.5 millionhours of care given by Curam carers
Changed: "How an emergency carer can help"

What changed: H2 changed from "Types of emergency care we provide". The six H3s, their copy and the images are kept.

Why: This section lists what a carer does, while "Urgent care for specific needs" further down lists types of care, so the old heading made the two sound the same.

Position: Moves down two places, below the speed section and the carer cards.

H2Short-notice care vs regular visiting care

Changed

Emergency home care and regular visiting care both help people remain safe and supported at home, but they are designed for very different situations. Emergency care focuses on a rapid response during an unexpected change, such as a sudden illness, a family carer becoming unavailable or a same-day hospital discharge. Regular visiting care, on the other hand, is planned in advance and provides consistent, ongoing support for daily routines.

Emergency careRegular visiting care
Response timeSame-day support or within a few hours, depending on location and carer availability.Visits scheduled in advance, often planned weekly or monthly.
Visit lengthFlexible and often extended to stabilise the situation or support intensive short-term needs.Set visit durations agreed ahead of time.
PricingShort-notice rates (£26 to £34/hour)Standard daytime rates (£22 to £30/hour)
GoalStabilise the situation, ensure safety and provide immediate reassurance until longer-term care is arranged.Maintain long-term independence and build a consistent care routine.
Changed: "Short-notice care vs regular visiting care"

What changed: H2 changed from "Emergency home care vs regular home care". Live table and copy kept, lightly trimmed. One em dash replaced.

Why: "Emergency home care" appeared in too many headings, which reads as repetitive. "Short-notice care" is a natural variation that matches how people describe this need.

Position: Same place.

H2How much does emergency care cost?

Changed

Urgent care rates reflect the speed and hours required. Typical short-notice prices:

H3Daytime urgent visits

£26 to £30/hour

Rapid daytime support for personal care, medication reminders, mobility help or short-notice respite when needs change unexpectedly.

H3Overnight or waking nights

£28 to £34/hour

Ideal for night-time safety checks, dementia reassurance, post-hospital monitoring or situations where someone should not be left alone overnight.

H3Short-notice respite care

£26 to £32/hour

Fast cover when a family carer is unwell, unavailable or needs urgent time away. Helps maintain safety, routine and supervision at home.

H3Same-day hospital discharge

£28 to £36/hour

Immediate support after an unplanned discharge, including settling in, medication prompts, mobility help and early recovery monitoring at home.

All pricing is agreed directly with your carer and includes Curam's insurance, contracts and payment protection.

Changed: "How much does emergency care cost?"

What changed: H2 changed from "Cost of emergency home care". The four H3s and their copy are kept.

Why: A question that matches how people search, using "emergency care" rather than repeating the full "emergency home care" phrase.

Position: Same place.

H2Urgent care for specific needs

Changed

H3Dementia care

Specialist carers manage agitation, wandering and sundowning with calm reassurance.

H3Elderly care

Same-day help after a fall, sudden frailty or a GP recommending supervision.

H3Respite care

Cover for family carers who need immediate breaks due to illness or travel.

H3Overnight care

Waking-night professionals ensuring safety, toileting support and medication.

H3Palliative care

Compassionate end-of-life carers to maintain dignity at home when time matters most.

H3Post-hospital care

Same-day discharge support, medication management and liaison with community nurses.

Changed: "Urgent care for specific needs"

What changed: H2 changed from "Emergency home care for specific needs". The six H3s drop the word "Emergency" (for example "Emergency dementia care" becomes "Dementia care"). Each card heading now links to its main service page (the post-hospital heading links to the discharge section below), using the existing heading text rather than adding new link text. Live copy kept.

Why: Six headings starting with "Emergency" read as keyword stuffing. Linking each card to its service page helps visitors and helps Google understand how Curam's pages relate. Palliative care is not linked because there is no palliative page in the main menu.

Position: Same place.

H2Same-day hospital discharge support

Changed

Need to leave hospital today? Curam carers can meet you on the ward, organise transport, settle you home and provide round-the-clock monitoring during the first 24 to 72 hours. Share discharge notes inside the app so everyone stays aligned.

Changed: "Same-day hospital discharge support"

What changed: H2 reworded. The live heading put an em dash between "Hospital discharge support" and "same day". The live copy is kept.

Why: The heading contained an em dash and read awkwardly.

Position: Same place.

H2Why choose Curam?

Changed

H3Fast availability

Thousands of carers, nationwide coverage, instant messaging and same-day responses.

H3Choice & control

Handpick carers who match your urgent needs, preferences and budget.

H3Transparent pricing

You choose the rate with your carer, and every visit is recorded in the app so you always know exactly what you're paying for.

H3Trusted professionals

All Curam carers are DBS-checked, insured and backed by our UK safeguarding team.

Changed: "Why choose Curam?"

What changed: H2 shortened from "Why choose Curam for emergency care?". The four H3s and their copy are kept.

Why: The page already makes the context clear, so repeating "emergency care" in this heading added nothing and made the page more repetitive.

Position: Same place.

NewContent reviewer
Reviewed by [name, role]
[relevant qualification or experience] · Last reviewed [date]
New: content reviewer

What changed: A "Reviewed by" box with name, role, qualifications and review date.

Why: The page covers medication, hospital discharge and dementia behaviour changes, but shows no author or reviewer. A named, qualified reviewer is one of the clearest trust signals for a care page. Curam must nominate a real person.

Position: New, just before the FAQs.

H2Frequently asked questions

Changed

H3Is emergency home care the same as calling an ambulance?

No. If someone is seriously ill or injured, call 999. For urgent medical advice, call NHS 111. Emergency home care provides practical support at home, such as personal care, supervision and help after a hospital discharge, when needs change suddenly. New

H3What can I do if I can't cope with caring for an elderly parent?

You don't have to manage alone. A short-notice respite carer can step in while you rest or deal with other responsibilities, and you can ask your council for a carer's assessment to see what longer-term help is available. New

H3Do I need a care assessment before arranging emergency care?

No. You can arrange a carer privately through Curam without a council assessment. If you want to apply for council funding, you can ask your council for a needs assessment at any time. New

H3Can I use direct payments or NHS funding for emergency care?

Yes. Curam works with people who receive direct payments, NHS continuing healthcare funding and personal health budgets, as well as people who pay privately. New

H3Can I choose a male or female carer?

Yes. When you set up your care request, you can say whether you would prefer a male or female carer, and carers who match your needs will apply. New

H3How long can emergency care continue?

Emergency care can be arranged for a single visit, a few days or longer, depending on your situation. Families often start with urgent support and then move to a planned care schedule once things have stabilised. Same

Changed: FAQs

What changed: H2 changed from "Emergency home care FAQs". FAQs are now H3s. Four live questions are removed because the page already answers them: "How quickly can an emergency carer arrive?" (same as the H2 "How fast can a carer arrive?"), "What situations count as an emergency home care need?" (same as "When is emergency care needed?"), the dementia question (covered by "Dementia behaviours suddenly change" and the dementia card) and the overnight and weekend question (covered by the night-time crisis card and overnight care). "How long can emergency care continue?" is kept as it is. Five new questions are added.

Why: FAQs should answer what the rest of the page does not. The new questions include one from Google's People Also Ask ("What can I do if I can't cope with caring for my elderly parent?") and an important safety point: emergency home care is not a substitute for 999 or NHS 111.

Position: Same place.

"Emergency home care" gets around 310 searches a month in the UK, but this page is not currently appearing in Google's top results for it. What's changed and why

Curam: /home-care-services/emergency-care · Prepared by Fibre Marketing, 1 October 2026

The problem

The page is detailed and well organised, but it is not appearing in Google's top results for "emergency home care". "Emergency home care" is repeated in so many headings that the page reads as repetitive, several FAQs repeat sections above them, and there is no named reviewer for content covering medication, hospital discharge and dementia.

The evidence

UK search demand from Mangools, pulled 1 October 2026 (monthly searches):

Search termMonthly searches
emergency home care310 (12-month average 190)
emergency home care services310 (12-month average 190)
emergency respite care for elderly50
emergency dementia respite care40
emergency elderly care20
emergency home care for elderly20

"Emergency home care" has low keyword difficulty (16 out of 100), so it is a realistic term to improve on. In the most recent Mangools snapshot of Google's UK results for "emergency home care" (4 September 2026), curamcare.com does not appear in the top results. Google shows an AI Overview, a local map pack and People Also Ask, with these questions: How to get emergency home care? What can I do if I can't cope with caring for my elderly parent? Who qualifies for overnight care?

Add one Question entry per FAQ, matching the visible text exactly. Google no longer shows FAQ rich results for most commercial sites, but the markup still helps search engines and AI tools understand the questions and answers.

What has changed from the current markup

ChangeWhy
Service: linked to Curam's sitewide Organization by @idConnects this service to the business behind it.
Service: the care types listed as an OfferCatalogShows search engines the specific emergency services covered.
WebPage: reviewedBy and lastReviewed addedMatches the new "Reviewed by" box.
FAQPage: updated to the new questionsThe markup must match the visible FAQs.

What we are deliberately not marking up

TypeWhy not
HowToGoogle no longer shows HowTo results, so it adds nothing.
AggregateRating / ReviewGoogle does not allow a business to mark up reviews of itself, and doing so risks a manual action.
Offer / priceRates are set by individual carers and vary, so fixed prices would be misleading.
MedicalWebPageThis is a care service page, not medical content.
